Megan Hung

Co-President

Megan is a 2026 MBA candidate at MIT Sloan. Prior to Sloan, Megan was a mergers and acquisitions consultant focused on the consumer products and retail industry, which spurred her interest in the circular economy. Most recently, Megan worked for a carbon conversion start-up. An alumna of the World Bachelor in Business program, Megan holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and from Bocconi University as well as a BBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In her free time, Megan enjoys perusing farmers markets, hiking, and scuba diving.

 

Dilin Meloni

Co-President

Dilin is an undergraduate pursuing a BS in nuclear engineering and physics. He is also the captain of the men’s varsity soccer team at MIT. Additionally, he is involved in other student life, through other groups such as the American Nuclear Society and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Outside of MIT he is heavily focused on the fusion energy sphere.

 

Jayant Wunnava

Co-President

Jayant is a first-year MBA candidate at MIT Sloan with an interest in early-stage climate-tech entrepreneurship. Prior to Sloan, he worked across manufacturing and operations topics at McKinsey & Co. and Merck in energy, chemicals, and biopharmaceuticals. In his free time, he enjoys long-distance running, reading biographies, and eating extra dessert. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University - New Brunswick.

 
 

Jenny Kim

Vice President of Marketing

Jenny is a second-year undergraduate student studying Engineering at MIT Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and Management in the Sloan School. She is passionate about mobility innovation and sustainable transportation, particularly exploring how autonomous systems can be leveraged to build more connected, efficient, and resilient urban environments. As VP of Marketing, Jenny is excited to help support and grow the energy and climate community and ecosystem.

 

Danielle Knutson

Vice President of Marketing

Danielle is an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a strong interest in computing and urban science. She is passionate about building accessible, data-driven solutions, and always looking to collaborate on impactful tech and research projects.

 

Natalie Hatzigeorgiou

Vice President of Marketing

Natalie is a second-year undergraduate studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Energy Conversion Engineering (Course 2A) and a minor in Economics. She is passionate about the intersection of energy and economics, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies can help tackle energy and environmental challenges. As VP of Marketing, she’s excited to keep the MIT community informed and engaged throughout the year.

 

Luis Carlos Velasquez-Mansilla

Vice President of Community & Education

Luis Carlos is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Prior to MIT, he worked on robotics to support subsistence farming in Central America, before shifting his focus to the energy sector. He co-founded a company that delivers technical services to power producers across Latin America and the Caribbean. His research interests center on energy equity and the technical challenges of integrating renewable energy in small island nations. Luis holds a Bachelor’s in Mechatronics Engineering and an MBA from MIT Sloan. When he’s not working on his research, you’ll likely find him kitesurfing—or fencing during the off-season.

 

Katie Kempff

Vice President of Community & Education

Katie is a senior undergrad in Course 1-12 (Climate System Science and Engineering). Her academic interests include climate policy, remote sensing of greenhouse gas emissions, carbon management, and renewable energy. Previously, she has worked as a Habitat Conservation/Climate Research Intern for the World Wildlife Fund, a Climate Science intern for the American Carbon Registry, designed a radiation experiment that flew on the ISS, and conducted research with both the MIT Climate Project and the MIT Climate Policy Center. She also spent a summer working as an engineering intern in Cape Town, South Africa, through MIT’s MISTI program. She has previously been involved with MITEC’s Energy & Climate Night, and is excited to get more involved with MITEC programming as part of the Community & Education team. Outside of academics, she is a member of MIT’s Track and Field team.

 

Hiya Gada

Vice President of Community & Education

Hiya is an AeroAstro PhD candidate in the Electric Energy Systems Group with Prof. Marija Ilic. She earned her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, specializing in systems and control engineering, from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Her research interests lie in applying control theory to address current challenges in power systems stability, particularly in the context of integrating renewable energy like solar and wind. Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys singing-songwriting, playing board games, reading books, and exercising, if nothing but to accompany friends.

 

Wyatt Nabatoff

Vice President of Community & Education

Wyatt is a Leaders for Global Operations Fellow at MIT, pursuing an MBA from MIT Sloan and an SM in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy Science & Engineering. Prior to MIT, he spent three years with SK Group’s U.S. operations, first supporting their electric vehicle battery manufacturing business before shifting to a role focused on U.S. energy transition investments. His work spanned electric vehicle charging, hydrogen production, and grid-scale battery storage. He holds a BS in Engineering Science - Mechanical from Yale University, where he also concentrated energy studies. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, golfing, and sharing great meals with friends.

 

Camilla Jamro

Vice President of Budget & Finance

Camilla is a first-year MBA candidate at MIT Sloan. Prior to graduate school, she worked for a global bank in New York and Hong Kong providing coverage for energy sector. She is thrilled to be a part of the MITEC team and has a strong interest in the role financial capital plays in the energy transition. She speaks three languages. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and going on long hikes.

 

Alexis Sabbaghian

Alexis is a 2027 MBA candidate at MIT Sloan. Prior to Sloan, Alexis was a Vice President on the Capital Formation team at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), part of BlackRock. While at GIP/BlackRock, she raised over $12 billion in capital commitments across North America and Asia for private infrastructure credit strategies. This past summer, she interned with the Nuclear Energy Agency at the OECD, focusing on policy and market research for nuclear financing and innovation. Alexis holds a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College, where she double majored in Economics and Sociology. She is passionate about expanding access to energy that is reliable, affordable, resilient, sustainable, and secure.

 

Annabella Gong

Annabella is a second-year MBA student at MIT Sloan focused on technology, climate, and entrepreneurship. Prior to Sloan, she was a Research Associate at Wellington Management, supporting the firm’s flagship global impact fund. In her first year at MIT, she co-led sponsorships for the Energy Conference and interned at MacroCycle Technologies, a plastics upcycling startup. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and enjoys sci-fi and fantasy in her free time.

 

Rebecca Mariani

Rebecca is a first year MBA student. Prior to MIT, she was an infrastructure finance professional within Citi’s investment banking division in London. Her experience was particularly focused on carbon abating technologies, including green steel and industrial carbon sequestration. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences majoring in Sciences and Engineering with a minor in social sciences from University College London (UCL). Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys tennis, horse-riding and traveling.

 

Scott Cronson

Scott is an MBA candidate at MIT Sloan with a background in mechanical engineering and a strong focus on data and technology. Prior to Sloan, he worked in software development and data analytics at a global water technology company and led technology consulting initiatives for non-profit organizations. He is particularly interested in leveraging data-driven solutions to scale impact in the energy and climate sectors.

 

Taylor Pearlman

Taylor is a graduate student pursuing his dual degree MBA and MS in Electrical Engineering through the MIT LGO program. He graduated from Colby College with degrees in Physics and Mathematics. He started his career as an engineer with BAE Systems working on a variety of defense and aerospace projects and later moved to Cambridge Consultants where he led commercial efforts in quantum computing and wireless communications. Taylor is passionate about advancing key technologies critical to next-generation energy and climate initiatives.

 

Fakhri Guniar

Vice President of External Relations

Fakhri is a 2026 MBA Candidate at MIT Sloan. He started his career by leading a project to provide clean water access on the remote fishermen islands in Indonesia. Afterwards he became part of the founding team for food business aggregator to help them access capital and resources to scale up their businesses and also co-founded a venture backed company on food waste and food supply chain. His last role was working on impact fund focusing on nature-based innovation in the forest and marine ecosystem. During his time at MIT Sloan, Fakhri wants to explore innovation to solve problems at the intersection of climate, food, water, and well-being.

 

Emily Neill

Vice President of External Relations

Emily is a fourth-year undergraduate studying Physics and Nuclear Science & Engineering. She is interested in developing nuclear technologies to grow the global clean energy supply. Emily conducts research at the Plasma Science and Fusion Center to study fusion plasmas as well as plasmas in the context of laboratory astrophysics. Emily is excited to grow the MITEC alumni network through her role as VP of External Relations.

 

Claudia Mezey

Vice President of External Relations

Claudia is a Leaders for Global Operations Fellow at MIT, pursuing an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and an SM in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the MIT School of Engineering. Before MIT, she worked across public and private sectors as a consultant, sustainable building designer (WSP), transportation planner (NYC DOT, MTA), and business development lead for environmental compliance services (Green Project Technologies), where she applied diverse modeling tools to shape low-carbon design and operations. At MIT, her academic interests lie in building materials production and construction operations. Claudia is passionate about transforming what and how we build to create a carbon-free, just, and resilient future.

 

Louisa Zhu

Vice President of Social

Louisa is a second-year undergrad in Course 3 (Materials Science and Engineering). She currently works in the Laboratory for Atomistic and Molecular Mechanics, where she works on the development and analysis of molecular dynamics simulations of fungal melanin. She was previously a Climate Intern with the MIT Office of Sustainability to analyze heat risk in Boston, and has also worked as a Disaster Risk intern with Global Support and Development, a NGO that provides humanitarian aid to SIDS. Outside of academics, she enjoys reading and climbing up the Beli ranks by eating at hundreds of restaurants.

 

Justin Brown

Vice President of Social

With a background in Chemical Engineering and Computing Technology from the University of Ottawa, Justin has focused on clean energy innovation through research in green hydrogen production, next-generation batteries, industrial carbon capture, and waste-to-chemicals. He has worked across startups (GBatteries), large corporations (Enerkem), government (Natural Resources Canada), and academia (uOttawa).

This fall, Justin begins the MS in Chemical Engineering Practice at MIT, aiming to sharpen the skills needed to scale decarbonization solutions for hard-to-abate sectors (steel, cement, chemicals, etc). In his free time, he enjoys road, gravel, and mountain biking along with bouldering and just about any outdoor adventure!

 
 
 

Logan Reich

MITEC Launchpad

Logan Reich is a sophomore at MIT double majoring in Civil & Environmental Engineering and Applied Math with a minor in Economics. He has conducted research on climate-induced flooding in South Africa, served on MIT Wind Team’s Project Development Team, and was involved with MITEC Launchpad last year. Over the summer, he interned with Enverus, performing research on the energy transition and constructing models of the power grid and market. Generally, Logan is interested in all things related to clean energy, and enjoys reading science fiction, cooking, and traveling in his free time.

 

Maddison Larson

MITEC Launchpad

Maddie is a 2026 MBA candidate at MIT Sloan School of Management. She served in the US Navy for nearly 9 years before coming to Sloan, completing tours in San Diego, CA and Italy. During her time in the Navy, she completed a Masters in Public Policy, focusing in energy and environmental policy, which informed her decision to come to Sloan after the military to pivot into the renewable energy space. She is passionate about figuring out solutions to help renewables development meet increasing energy demand in order to help reduce carbon emissions. 

Andres Joven

Andres Joven is a second-year MBA candidate at MIT Sloan, passionate about the intersection of sustainability, climate, and entrepreneurship. Before Sloan, he held roles in business development, strategy, and operations across the construction and tech industries. At MIT, he is actively involved in climate-focused initiatives and startup projects aimed at driving environmental impact. Outside the classroom, Andres enjoys road cycling, playing sports, and spending time outdoors.

Alexandra Diaz Arias

Energy Conference

Alexandra Diaz is a senior leader in the energy technology sector with over 14 years of experience across engineering, product development, and commercial strategy. Most recently, she led global commercial operations for AI solutions aimed at decarbonizing hard-to-abate energy operations by aligning business models, partnerships, and execution frameworks.

Originally from Colombia, she is the co-founder of Naranja CultuART, a nonprofit supporting Caribbean women artists, and an advocate for women’s empowerment in energy. She also mentors emerging Latin American professionals in tech and innovation.

At MIT Sloan, Alexandra is refining her leadership and exploring how deep tech, especially quantum computing, AI, and robotics, can be scaled responsibly to address global decarbonization challenges.

 

Sander de la Rambelje

Energy Conference

Sander de la Rambelje is a second-year System Design & Engineering Master’s student at MIT. As a graduate research assistant in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Sander is contributing to research on alternative fuel pathways to decarbonize the global shipping industry. Prior to MIT, Sander worked in international energy policy and regulation, shaping intergovernmental and public-private partnerships to accelerate the decarbonization of industry and buildings, and promote the deployment of low-to-zero carbon fuels. Sander received an MS in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. In his free time, Sander enjoys hiking, skiing, culturally immersive travel and photography. 

 

Adalberto Acuña Girault

Adal is a graduate student pursuing his MBA and MS in Chemical Engineering as part of MIT’s LGO program. Prior to MIT, he worked as an engineering manager for P&G, where he helped decrease GHG emissions and optimized electricity consumption for the largest detergent plant in the world. Adal holds a Chemical Engineering degree. Outside of MITEC he enjoys reading, hiking, and skiing.

 

Chloe Brown

Chloe is pursuing a joint MBA and MS in Chemical Engineering through MIT's Leaders for Global Operations program. Before joining the program, she was a Senior Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, focusing on strategy and implementation for Energy and Materials clients. As an active reservist in the U.S. Army, Chloe is passionate about combining policy, management, and technology to meet the world's rising energy demand while ensuring energy resiliency and security. She previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from MIT. For fun, Chloe enjoys running, reading, thrifting, and listening to her favorite podcasts! 

 

Andrew Acevedo

Energy & Climate Hack

Andrew is a third-year undergraduate studying chemical engineering. Outside of classes he spends his time researching carbon reducing microbes with the Furst Lab as well as participating in extracurriculars like taekwondo and weightlifting. This summer Andrew worked with RenewCO2 to develop state of the art CO2 electrolyzers. He is very passionate about the nature and hopes to pursue a career devoted to increasing sustainability in energy and manufacturing.

 

Greta Lawler

Energy & Climate Hack

Greta is a third year undergraduate studying Materials Science and Engineering with a minor in Chinese. She serves as the Undergraduate Chair of MIT Science Policy Initiative and is a member of French House. Over the summer, Greta interned with Lightshift Energy, where she helped design and develop battery energy storage systems for grid-scale application. Prior to Lightshift, Greta also interned at Mantel Carbon Capture, where she specialized in writing Community Benefit Plans for federal grant applications. Greta is particularly interested in the intersection of technology and policy in advancing energy transition goals.

 

Rohit Giridharan

Rohit is a graduate student pursuing his MBA and SM in Civil and Environmental Engineering through the MIT LGO program. He is interested in power generation and the unique challenges of integrating renewable energy into the power grid. Prior to MIT, he worked in the automotive industry as a software engineer at Tesla and Applied Intuition. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Yale University.

 

Jack Fletcher

Energy & Climate Night

Jack is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Nuclear Science & Engineering from St. Louis, Missouri. Specializing in fusion neutronics, Jack takes interest in the unique technical, policy, and supply-chain challenges faced by fusion energy, and the role it can play in a decarbonized grid. Jack additionally serves as chair of the 2025 MIT Science Policy Initiative Executive Visit Days Delegation, helping other students gain experience in science and technology policy. In his spare time, Jack enjoys playing Ultimate and plays tuba in the MIT Concert Band.

 

Daniel Wang

Daniel is a 4th year PhD student in mechanical engineering. His research focuses on understanding the anode/liquid electrolyte interface to enable lithium metal batteries for EV applications. Prior to MIT, he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech and then spent a year and a half interning at Apple and Tesla. Daniel is passionate about finding new battery chemistries to accelerate the transition to renewable energy. Outside of school and work, he enjoys working out, running, reading, watching movies, and baking!

Matthew Hoel

Energy & Climate Career Fair

Matt is a 2026 MIT Leaders for Global Operations Fellow, pursuing an MBA from MIT Sloan and an SM in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to MIT, he served as a U.S. Marine Corps officer, MV-22B Osprey pilot, and instructor. He interned at NextEra Energy, analyzing supply chain risk mitigation for short-duration battery energy storage systems and previously managed the MIT Energy and Climate Night. His particular interests include grid resilience and optimization as well as the firming of renewable generation with grid-scale storage. An avid rower, cyclist, and amateur chef, he enjoys hiking and playing board games with his family. He holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.

 

Mairin Castellano

Energy & Climate Career Fair

Mairin is a second-year undergraduate student studying Nuclear Engineering and Physics. She is passionate about developing clean energy solutions and climate technology. Previously, Mairin interned at the Foundation for Resilient Societies, where she modeled the United States’ electrical grid to evaluate longevity and resiliency. She conducts undergraduate research on perovskite solar cells to increase their scalability. Last summer, Mairin interned at IMDEA Energy Institute in Madrid, Spain, through MIT’s MISTI program, where she developed innovative carbon-neutral ammonia fixation processes. At MIT, she is involved with the Society of Women Engineers on the Outreach Board and Engineers Without Borders. Outside of academics, she enjoys running, lifting, and reading.
